Meet Joyce Williams

Founder & Clinical Director

For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of serving as a therapist, clinical social worker, adjunct professor, and agency owner. Whether I'm working with clients, mentoring clinicians, or teaching future social workers, my mission remains the same: to help people experience healing, hope, and lasting transformation.

As a therapist and agency owner, I provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team committed to compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based care. At SGJ, we believe healing and restoration are possible through our relationship with God. We focus on each individual's and family's strengths, helping them discover the tools they already possess to grow, heal, and thrive while thoughtfully integrating faith and mental wellness.

Throughout my career, I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life's transitions. I've also had the privilege of supporting Veterans and their families through complex medical and mental health challenges.

Faith & Spiritual Integration

I value the connection between mind, body, and spirit. When clients desire it, I thoughtfully integrate faith into therapy while respecting each person's beliefs and experiences. I also incorporate whole-health practices, including mindfulness, gratitude, and culturally responsive care, to support healing and personal growth.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my professional life, I'm a proud wife, mother of two teenage daughters, and an active member of my church community. I enjoy listening to music, watching romantic movies, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with family.
