FOUNDER, THERAPIST

Joyce Williams, LCSW

I’ve always had a passion make a difference in the lives of others. I also noticed that there was a higher calling on my life to impact people and communities holistically. With over 20 years of clinical social work practice, I have been able to do just that!

As a therapist and agency owner, I see my role as a partner who helps you uncover your goals, navigate challenges and move towards your personal best self—all while strengthening families and communities along the way.

I work with youth, adults, parents, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression and situational challenges. I work with individuals and families facing complex medical and physical health challenges, including catastrophic injuries like spinal cord injuries. My approach combines clinical expertise in trauma, adjustment, and depression with guidance tailored to navigating medical complications, while fostering hope, resilience, and meaningful growth. I approach therapy from a place of grace and humility, recognizing that I am on a journey with you.

Faith and Spiritual Integration
I value the mind-body-spirit connection and integrate whole-health principles into therapy, including mindfulness, gratitude, and culturally humble approaches to spiritual integration. I create a safe space for clients to explore if and how their faith is impacting current life challenges.

Outside of Therapy
I am a proud mother of two teenage daughters, a wife and an active member of my church community. I also enjoy contributing to the professional community through teaching, mentoring new clinicians, public speaking, and providing clinical supervision. In my personal time, I enjoy listening to music, watching romantic movies, cooking, traveling and spending time with family.

I work with youth, adults, parents, and families navigating life transitions or challenging seasons. My therapeutic style is humanistic and person-centered, focusing on meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them in their journey. Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you build practical tools for growth and resilience.

Faith and Spirituality in Therapy
I recognize that faith and spirituality can be an important part of many people’s lives and healing. When meaningful to the client, I thoughtfully integrate spiritual or faith-based values into therapy. This may include exploring how beliefs support coping, resilience, and personal growth, and incorporating prayer or other spiritual practices when desired.

In my personal time, you can usually find me listening to music, dancing, or trying my hand at pottery.
